This well-respected and much sought after 1975 Kawasaki Z1B 900 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – LH side panel emblem, front indicators, chainguard and battery being the most obvious. There are a few bits non-standard; exhaust, seat and handlebars being the most noticable. We also noted that there are a few dents in the tank which has also been resealed inside but is now peeling.
Please note that the engine is not stamped with a number.
The wheels are straight but the chrome on the rear wheel has some rust.
The forks and yokes look straight but are slightly pitted.
The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl.
Instruments and switches look ok.
The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.
The paintwork is slightly faded but solid.
The seat base is solid. The rear indicators are tidy.
Both mud guards are solid but the rear is mishapen at the end and both are pitted.
The exhaust is solid but the chrome is peeling.
The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running & revving on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
